Confused About Chakras & Kundalini? Here’s the Truth No One Told You This Will Change Everything
Ever felt super low for no reason? Or suddenly so happy and inspired it’s like you’re floating? That’s your energy doing its thing. In yoga, this energy is called Kundalini, and it flows through energy centers in your body called chakras — kinda like Wi-Fi routers for your vibes.
Let’s break it down in a chill, easy way:
Root Chakra (Muladhara):
Vibe: Feeling safe and grounded
When it’s lits: You feel stable, calm, and chill AF
When it’s blocked: You feel anxious, insecure, or stuck
This is where Kundalini starts its journey — your survival zone. If you’re not feeling grounded, energy can’t rise.

Sacral Chakra (Swadhisthana):
Vibe: Creativity, emotions, and yeah…sexual energy
When it’s lits: You’re flowing with ideas, passion, and connection
When it’s blocked: You might feel numb or overly emotional
When energy hits here, your creative juices get activated. You’re in the zone.
Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipua):
Vibe: Confidence and fire energy
When it’s lits: You feel powerful, motivated, and ready to slay
When it’s blocked: You feel jealous, stuck, or self-doubting
This is your inner fire — where action happens.

Heart Chakra (Anahata):
Vibe: Love, compassion, and forgiveness

When it’s blocked: You feel cold, fearful, or closed off
As Kundalini moves up, you start feeling deep love — for others and for yourself.

Throat Chakra (Vishuddhi):
Vibe: Speaking your truth
When it’s lits: You express yourself freely and honestly
When it’s blocked: You feel unheard, or you over-talk
This is where your voice becomes powerful — not just words, but truth.
Third Eye Chakra (Ajna):
Vibe: Intuition and insight
When it’s lits: You just kno›vthings. Clarity, vision, wisdom.
When it’s blocked: Confused, disconnected, overthinking
Your inner guide wakes up here. Big “I see everything” energy.
Crown Chakra (Sahasaa):
Vibe: Bliss and full connection
When it’s lits: You feel one with everything. Like you’re part of something bigger.
When it’s blocked: Disconnected, lost, or spiritually empty This is the top level. When energy reaches here, boom
Kundalini is fully awakened. What Kundalini Awakening FHls Like
When your energy flows freely through all the chakras, you feel alive, intuitive, loving, expressive, and peaceful. It’s like a cosmic upgrade. But when energy is stuck, you feel meh or chaotic.
Kundalini: Your Hidden Superpower (Yes, You’ve Got One)
Let’s get real—everything in existence is energy. Movement. Vibration. Flow. And when it comes to you as a human being, that energy is called Kundalini.
Now don’t let the word scare you. Kundalini isn’t some mystical, out-there concept reserved for gurus in caves. It’s your inner potential. Your life force. Your creative fire. The part of you that’s still sleeping… but ready to rise.
So what’s the deal?
Most people operate on like… 5% of their energy. Just enough to get through the day, check their emails, make it to yoga, and scroll lnstagram before bed. The rest? It stays dormant. Untapped. Coiled up like a snake at the base of your spine. That’s the energy we call Kundalini.
But here’s the thing: you’re constantly generating energy. Every thought, every emotion, every moment of stress or excitement—it’s energy.
The problem is, most of us don’t know what to do with it. So we leak it, waste it, burn out. We chase highs and crash lows.
We stay in our heads, disconnected from our bodies. We survive—but don’t thrive.
The Shift Happens When You Stat Turning Inward
Kundalini isn’t about doing more. It’s about feeling dHper.
It’s about redirecting that powerful energy back to your center instead of pouring it all out. When your energy flows inward, you don’t just feel calmer—you feel alive.
Whole. Inspired.
Like your purpose and your presence are actually synced up. That’s when things start to shift.
That’s when your yoga practice stops being a workout and becomes a wake-up call.
So how do you tap into this?
Not through force. Not through trying harder.
But through awareness, breath, and a few ancient tools that are surprisingly modern when practiced right. Think:
- Breathwork (panayama) that clears the mental noise
- Movement (asana) that unlocks stuck energy
- Meditation that reconnects you to the now
- And a way of living that’s way more intentional and aligned This isn’t about becoming someone else.
It’s about becoming more YOU—fully expressed, awake, and centered.
Energy. Breath. Awareness.
It’s the bridge between who you are and who you can become. The moment you shift your breath, you shift your energy. Notice it: when you’re sleeping, breathing slows. When you’re awake, it changes. When you’re angry, breath gets shallow and sharp. In love? Soft, deep, flowing.Every emotion carries a breathing pattern. Your breath is the remote control of your nervous system.
When you’re angry or in danger, energy rushes outward—you’re on alert, ready to fight or flee. After anger or intense sex, you feel drained. But after love, after meditation, after prayer—you feel refreshed. Why? Because the energy flows inward. That inward flow rejuvenates you.Deep breathing does the same. It turns the tide inward, creating a sense of inner wholeness.
And here’s the magic:
When energy flows in, breath becomes soft, rhythmic, almost invisible. In deep states of meditation, it may even feel like your breath has stopped. That’s not death—it’s life at its most silent, centered, and radiant.
Pranayama awakens that inner potential.
Asanas (postures) shape your energy flow too. Your body is like a circuit, and each posture is a way to rewire the system. Take Padmasana—tL›e classic lotus pose or any meditative pose .
It’s designed to conserve energy. The way the body folds creates a circular loop where energy stays inside. Hands and feet connect, the spine is straight, and gravity stops pulling you down. You’re centered. Grounded. Unshaken.
Fun fact: this circular shape is why women often have more energy reserves—they lose less energy through outward movement, thanks to the roundness of their bodies and organs.Even your eyes matter. Moving eyeballs during dreams release energy too. In deep sleep, the eyes are still—your energy stays inside. Same with meditation.
So yes, pranayama and asana matter.
But here’s the catch:
If your mind is chaotic, breathwork alone won’t take you all the way. Yoga isn’t just body work. It’s energy work.
And the mind? That’s where awareness kicks in.
The body and mind are not two. They’re one seamless energy field. Breath is the bridge.
Want to master your anger? Breathe through it. Want to cool sexual tension? Stay rhythmic and calm. Breath won’t suppress these emotions—they’ll still be there—but you’ll gain clarity and space around them.
That’s why we need both sides of yoga:
- Hatha yoga for the
- Mindfulness, Raja Yoga (what Buddha called anapanasati) for the
Start with the breath. Just become aware of it. Don’t change it—just watch. From there, watch the thoughts than go deeper watch your emotions and here mind slow down. The body supports the mind, the mind supports awareness.
When body and mind move together—no friction, no resistance—you go beyond both.
You experience the Ifiielf. Pure awareness. Consciousness with no object. Not thinking about something—just being. That’s the breakthrough moment.
Potential becomes real.
You shift into a new state. Call it Kundalini. Call it Source. Words don’t matter. What matters is this:
Energy that once ran wild now moves inward. That’s the real revolution.
That’s freedom.
