The mountain is a retreat farm in the municipality of Rättvik in Dalarna, which is operated as a foundation. It annually has a couple of thousand retreat seekers from all over the countryIn connection with the Swedish Church’s diocese in Rättvik, St. David’s Farm was built as the first retreat facility in the Nordic region. It was inaugurated on November 18, 1962 by Bishop Sven Silén and Bishop Emeritus John Cullberg, both in Västerås dioceses. The plant was built in the Kaplaskogen, a height at Rättvik
